A fridge can't just go out with the regular trash — the refrigerant inside has to be recovered the legal way first. We run that whole process in Horizon City and still reclaim nearly all of the unit.
Three fast steps, and you don't lift a single box yourself.

The crew recovers the refrigerant to standard, disconnects the lines, and eases the unit out of your Horizon City place.
Your old fridge goes to a facility that reclaims the bulk of the material inside it.
Fridge disposal is regulated for a real reason: mishandled refrigerant vents straight into the air, and doing it the wrong way can draw a fine. Our certified crew recovers it properly before the unit ever leaves the house — side-by-side, French door, top or bottom freezer, garage fridge, mini fridge, or commercial box, ice-maker and water lines disconnected along the way. From there it goes to a recycler that separates the compressor, coils, steel, and insulation, so almost nothing from the unit ends up in a landfill.
A short run east of our Socorro base, Horizon City is one of El Paso County's fastest-growing communities, built across former desert ranchland with quick I-10 access. New subdivisions and Fort Bliss households keep a steady flow of move-in boxes and builder scrap that we clear on our regular valley route.
Refrigerant inside the unit has to be recovered under federal rules first. Our service handles that step and recycles the rest the right way.
Usually $100 to $150, depending on size and where in the house it's sitting — that covers recovery, hauling, and recycling together.
Yes — reach-ins, walk-in components, and commercial freezers come out of Horizon City businesses just as often as home kitchens.
